could be worse, you …
could be worse, you could have gone for a full suspension upgrade and a practically cusionless bucket seat and a racing harness like I did in mine. Its all fun and games at the track with that, but I nearly pulverized my tail bone when I drove it to Grand Junction, Co from NW Arkansas for the FM open house a few years ago (of course that hasn’t stopped me from driving it back to Colorado two more times, lol).

Your supposed to …
Your supposed to drop the windows a bit before dropping the hood. You might be lucky and get away with it but if this is done time and time again you’ll feck your seals.

Really well done. …
Really well done. You’ve pretty much nailed everything worth mention. Two quick thoughts:
- I’ve found it’s easier to just yank the visors out of their holders and live without. They’re pretty well useless, get in the way of the top, and make a small windscreen seem even smaller.
- The cover for the top isn’t as bad as people think. I do the snaps first and pull the clip parts over second. Takes me less than a minute, looks better, and saves the top’s sensitive underparts from UV damage.

I love my MX-5, but …
I love my MX-5, but mine isn’t as comfy as the one in the vid (tein coilovers), I sometimes miss that part, but hey, getting rid of body roll isn’t that bad either.

Go to any track or …
Go to any track or autocross school and one of the first things they teach you is KEEP BOTH HANDS ON THE FREAKING STEERING WHEEL! You WILL driver faster, more accurately, and safer with both hands on the wheel. Try driving at a track with one hand…you WILL get laughed at by the fast drivers.
